Yvette Nicole Brown and her husband Anthony Davis are enjoying married life together!

Brown, 54, and Davis stepped out together at the Los Angeles premiere of Henry Winkler and Bob Odenkirk's new movie Normal on Wednesday, April 15, where they spoke with PEOPLE about spending a "nice date night" out together, a year after their wedding.

"It's been really great," Brown tells PEOPLE. "We've realized we don't get sick of each other. We're together almost 24 hours a day and he's like hanging out with my best friend. It's just been wonderful."

"We already felt like we've been married," Brown says. "For years," Davis adds, finishing her sentence. "Plus, she's just the best. She is absolutely the best. She's not just talented. She's a great wife. She's a great person. She's an incredible writer, an incredible director. You'll need to watch out. She's got some stuff coming."

"I pay him money to say that," Brown jokes back. "He also now does my PR."

Brown and Davis, an actor who has appeared on TV series including JD's Place, The Family Business: New Orleans, and the movie He Wasn't Man Enough, met as friends in their 20s and reconnected romantically in 2021.

Brown announced their engagement during a guest stint as a cohost on The View in 2023, and they tied the knot in an "intimate, classy and fun" wedding surrounded by 200 guests on December 14, 2024 in Los Angeles.

The Community star told PEOPLE at the time of their wedding that she had "no nerves when it came to marrying this man."

"He is the one for me. Absolutely," she said.

Also at Wednesday's red carpet premiere, Brown shared that the couple opted to attend the premiere because she simply wanted to support her friend Winkler.

"I am friends with Henry Winkler and I adore Bob. Henry Winkler and I met on Merry Christmas, Drake and Josh, which is probably 10, 15 some years ago," she says. "So I love him and Happy Days and all that. Anytime I can see him, I'm excited."When PEOPLE asked why Davis decided to join in, Brown says, "Because he wants to meet Henry Winkler."

At the time of the couple's romantic Los Angeles nuptials, Brown, who fell in love at 51 and got engaged at 52, told PEOPLE that she wants readers to take away one thing from her story: "It's never too late."

"I'm not someone who really likes a lot of attention, and I realized there's a way that I could have a wedding where I made it more about other people, in the sense that because I am of a certain age and I never thought it would happen for me, my wedding can be an inspirational moment," she said. "I feel like it's important to make sure that the way God has blessed me, that I remind people that He is still in the blessing business, and can totally bless them as well."

"I want to be with this man for 30 years … continuing to love him and to put him first and to be his best friend," Brown added. "And again, just melding our lives together. And being Mrs. Davis is pretty exciting."
