The musician and viral Internet sensation told PEOPLE about his friendships, creative process and his new intriguing campaign with Skittles where he will take fans along for a ride to find a mysterious, spicy-sweet portal.
Mr. Fantasy spoke about photos shared by Deux Moi of him walking in L.A. with Madelaine Petsch, who snapped a picture of him and held her hand over her mouth as he hugged a lamppost and jumped in front of her. Another snap showed Mr. Fantasy embracing Cody Simpson.
“That does sound like me,” he confirmed. “Drinking coffee, talking to Cody, the sexy hunk, the sexy Australian hunk.”
“He loves Skittles too, by the way,” he added.
He called Petsch “the beautiful redhead queen in my life.”
“She helped me with something very special recently that people are gonna be able to see soon,” he hinted. “We had a coffee, yes, we had a coffee, and maybe a little more than just a coffee too.”
Fans think Mr. Fantasy bears a striking resemblance to KJ Apa, who starred in Riverdale alongside Petsch, but he has denied these claims.

The artist said that he has been in the recording studio a lot lately.
“Music is always being made inside me,” he said. “It’s just a matter of time before it starts coming out of me.”
He is so focused on creating new music, in fact, that he sometimes forgets to eat for up to “eight hours.”
“A lot of the time I forget about food when I’m in the studio,” he said. “But, do you know what, ever since I started working with Skittles, I always have a bag of Skittles, they’ve given me about five billion packets of them.”

He said that his recent single “One Last Night” came from “the depths of my heart.”
“It comes from the yearning of a love that was lost, which we can all relate to,” he said. “There is pain, but there is also hope because where there is pain, there is always hope.”

Mr. Fantasy shared he is excited about the new music he is working on, which leans more toward his traditional “grooviness.”
The viral artist and social media personality is the face of a new Skittles hunt to find the FUEG-HOLE, a mysterious portal that “sparked” the new flavor of Skittles Gummies Fuego in a “fiery parallel universe," per a release shared with PEOPLE.
The musician will give “cryptic clues” and “unhinged hints” on his and Skittles’ Instagram and TikTok accounts to aid fans in tracking down FUEG-HOLE, which is located somewhere in the U.S., starting April 7 and ending April 10.
Per the release, successful hunters of the FUEG-HOLE will have the chance to win Skittles Gummies Fuego, exclusive merchandise, Pleasantly Perplexing collectibles and, for the first fan to find the portal and say the secret code word “Swicy,” the FUEG-HOLE itself and a year of free Skittles.
“I am a Skittles fan...it was destiny for this to happen,” Mr. Fantasy said of his new campaign.

“The FUEG-HOLE found me, and Skittles found me shortly after that,” he added. “They needed someone with impeccable taste… that would be me.”
“I have a deep respect for...Skittles, and for fruitiness,” the artist shared. “And the chaos that comes with the wonderful world of Skittles.”
As for tips for following his clues, Mr. Fantasy said it will be both “spiritually” and “geographically” challenging to find the FUEG-HOLE.
“You just have to have perseverance,” he said. “Good things don’t come easy. And trust your instincts. Only the truly devoted people will be able to find the FUEG-HOLE.”
