This weekend was already exciting for DeMarcus Lawrence after his team won the 2026 Super Bowl – but it could've been even more memorable.
The Seattle Seahawks linebacker, 33, was supported by his wife, Sasha, who traveled to watch her husband play the New England Patriots in Santa Clara, Calif., on Sunday, Feb. 8, despite being 37 weeks pregnant.
Heading into the big weekend, Lawrence and Sasha made sure to have a plan if she went into labor during the big game.

"She also brought her doctor along," said broadcaster Kaylee Hartung during the game. "DeMarcus and his teammates had some deep conversations about what they'll do if his wife goes into labor during this game. His teammates said, 'It's not guaranteed you'll make another Super Bowl, but you can have another baby.'"
Lawrence and Sasha are already parents to son Damari and two daughters. Sasha also shares daughter Mariah and son Kal-El from a previous relationship.
Going into the Super Bowl, the Seahawks player made a tough decision about his wife's pregnancy.
"If she goes into labor, DeMarcus told me he will not be alert," said Hartung. "That was Sasha's choice, so he told her, 'Whatever you got to do, this can't happen today.'"

Back in 2020, Sasha was pregnant with the couple's first daughter during the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time, she encouraged Lawrence to keep playing in the league, even if it meant being away from her while she was pregnant.
“My decision was made by my wife,” he told USA Today. “She basically told me there’s no way possible that I could miss this season.”
Sasha backed him up, explaining, “In life we’re both going to have to make sacrifices. And if this is one thing we have to sacrifice – me being the only parent at home – that’s what I’ve got to do, and I’m totally fine with it."
