When I was a kid, I always looked up to my mom for fashion advice, and that hasn’t changed. Whenever I visit home, I venture into her closet to see what I can borrow—and when I’m out shopping, I send her outfit pics so she can weigh in. By the looks of it, Princess Charlotte is also following in her mother and grandmother’s footsteps when it comes to style.
The young princess was recently seen with her mother, father, and brothers at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, and she was wearing a white-and-black polka-dot dress (more specifically, the Big Girl Chiffon Belted Short Sleeve Dress by Guess, which is currently unavailable).
Although it’s sold out, you can find similar polka-dot dresses from retailers like H&M, Kohl’s, and Nordstrom—just in time for back-to-school shopping.

The polka-dot design, collar detail, and belted waistband reminded us of a dress Kate Middleton wore earlier this summer—a vibrant red dress by Rodarte. However, it’s even more similar to a stunning polka-dot dress she wore last May while honoring the 80th Anniversary of VE Day.
We couldn’t help but find similar options (in case you’re planning for a mommy-and-me moment).
Kate and Charlotte aren’t the only royals who’ve flaunted polka dots in the past. Princess Diana was also photographed wearing a polka-dot two-piece to Derby Day in 1986.

Now, we can’t help but feel like Kate (and now Charlotte) paid homage to the princess with their recent dress choices.
