Martin Sheen turned 86 on Aug. 3
To celebrate, the actor posted a video of his wife Janet bringing him a cake as the two sing “Happy Birthday to You”
“You take the cake, Janet,” Martin tells her before adding, “I didn’t mean that literally!”
Martin Sheen is celebrating another jolly trip around the sun.
To honor his 86th birthday on Monday, Aug. 3, the actor shared a sweet video promoting The Martin Sheen Podcast to social media, showing his wife Janet bringing him a cake. “It may be my birthday, but Janet takes the cake! 🎂😉” wrote Martin on X.

After singing “Happy Birthday to You” together, the video concludes with Martin and Janet sharing playful banter. “For I’m the jolly good fellow, I’m the jolly good fellow,” sings the West Wing alum, adding to the song before blowing out his candles.
“Thank you, you take the cake, Janet,” Martin says after his wife implores him to “please” get on with it. “Thank you dear,” she says, exiting with the treat.
“I didn’t mean that literally!” quips Martin. “Janet? What just happened?”

The two actors, who have been married since 1961, share four children together: sons Emilio Estevez, Charlie Sheen and Ramón Esteves and daughter Renée Estevez, all of whom have continued the family tradition as actors. Martin and Janet have since become grandparents and great-grandparents.
Both Ohio natives, the pair met in the early 1960s in New York City. Last December on The Martin Sheen Podcast, its host recalled his “very disarming and very funny” wedding with Janet, when a pastor at New York City’s St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church informed them the ceremony would have to be squeezed in between a mass and a funeral. “We had to make our vows as quickly as possible,” he recalled.
Martin has shared glimpses of his birthday celebrations with loved ones throughout the years. In 2018, he reunited with several fellow West Wing actors and Al Pacino to commemorate turning 78.
