Love Island UK bombshell George Knight has exited the Mallorca villa
A spokesperson for the show confirms his exit to PEOPLE, saying he left for "private reasons"
In an Instagram post, Knight said the decision was made "in order to be with my family" but did not give further details
A bombshell has left the Love Island UKvilla.
George Knight, who entered season 13 of Love Island UK as a bombshell with Yasmin Hadlow on day 2, has exited the Mallorca villa, PEOPLE confirms.
"For private reasons, George has left the Love Island Villa," a spokesperson for the series says in a statement. No further details were shared about the departure.
In a Friday, June 5 Instagram post, the 28-year-old from Winchester shared a statement of his own about his exit. "Family comes first, always," Knight wrote. "Leaving the @loveisland Villa was a decision made in order to be with my family. Out of respect for them, I'd prefer not to go into any further detail."
He added, "Thank you to everyone who has reached out with kind messages and support! It genuinely means a lot."

In his post, he shared a photo of himself on the show, as well as a photo with his sister Emma and a dog. "Love you George," his sister wrote in a comment on the post.

Season 13 of Love Island UK premiered on Monday, June 1, with 12 contestants: Angelista, Aidan, Ellie, Jasmine, Lola, Lorenzo, Mica, Ope, Robyn, Sean, Samraj and Sam.
On night 1, the first six couples were: Samraj and Mica; Lorenzo and Jasmine; Aidan and Ellie; Ope and Angelista; Sean and Lola; and Sam and Robyn. Since then, two more bombshells have arrived: Kavan and Priya.
The first two episodes of Love Island UK are now streaming on Hulu.
