Lara Trump may have upset her father-in-law with an opinion on the midterm elections.
The 43-year-old Fox News personality was a guest on Harry Cole Saves The West Wednesday, where she talked about the upcoming election. The British journalist asked Lara, whoās married to the presidentās son Eric Trump, whether she thinks the war in Iran could impact Republicansā chances during the midterm elections.
Lara was also previously the co-chair of the Republican National Committee. Cole questioned her perspective and what sheād be trying to do right now if she were still in the role. This comes as Nicki Minaj urged young Americans to 'vote red' on Lara Trump's show.

āThe fact is, a four- to six-week conflict is now in its sixth month; it shows no sign of abating. If anything, the Iranians are dragging their feet on doing any form of deal purely to hurt the president at the midterms. The timing couldnāt have been worse for this conflict. From a political point of view, it could cost him his legacy.ā
She responded, saying Trumpās legacy is still intact, though she acknowledged that the midterms could be at risk.
āIt could cost him these midterms,ā Lara said. āI think Donald Trumpās legacy has yet to be written. And I think, in a lot of ways, maybe, you know, I still say heās going to go down in history as one of the greatest presidents, if not the greatest president America has ever seen.ā
As the war in Iran rages on, gas prices have remained elevated, putting a strain on Americansā wallets. As of Oct. 1, the national average is $4.41 per gallon, reaching over $6 in California, according to AAA.
A recent survey from The /NORC Research Center published Thursday found that 73% of Americans disapprove of the presidentās handling of the economy, The Hill reports.
About 61% of respondents also said the economy has been worse off under Trump, while only 23% said itās been better off.
A Wall Street Journal poll from last Friday shows the presidentās approval rating has dropped to 37%, which is the lowest of any president before the midterm elections.
