Seven years after saying goodbye to Westeros, Peter Dinklage and Kit Harington are back together.

The *Game of Thrones* stars reunited for the latest edition of* **Variety*'s Actors on Actors, reflecting on their time on the HBO phenomenon. This is the first time that the duo has seen each other since *Thrones*' swan song, but it's a significant moment for Harington, who revealed that his professional acting debut was opposite Dinklage on the show.

"I am now the age that you were when I first met you," Harington, 39, told Dinklage, 56. "My first-ever scene on camera was with you, and I remember thinking, 'I've just got to be really still. That's acting for cameras. To be as still as I possibly can be, then say my lines, then go back to stillness.' And in my head, I'm like, 'Why is that guy moving so much?'"

Dinklage joked that it was his "overacting" and "being a ham." But Harington continued, "And then I realized, no, you were just so much more experienced. I was like, 'Just freeze. If you freeze, nothing can go wrong.'"

For eight seasons, Dinklage starred as the wise and sarcastic Tyrion Lannister, while Harington played the brave and loyal Jon Snow. "In your defense, Jon Snow can be sort of a frozen character," Dinklage told his former costar.

Early on *Thrones*, Jon and Tyrion bonded over their shared status as the outcasts of their respective families. The much-maligned series finale concluded with Tyrion appointed as the new Hand of the King, while he shared the news with Jon that he'd once again be sent to exile with the Night's Watch.

*Game of Throne*s was a career-changer for both actors. Dinklage won four Emmys for his run as Tyrion, and has since appeared in the *Avengers*, *X-Men*, *Hunger Games*, and *Wicked *franchises. The show turned Harington into a household name and introduced him to his wife, costar Rose Leslie. He and HBO were initially developing a Jon sequel series, but Harington declared in recent years that it's "not happening."

"I would never have said yes to the idea of developing something with Jon Snow if I didn't think there was something interesting there, and there could have been," he told* .* "But HBO cares about the character a lot and I care about the character a lot, and we don't want to put out something that is going to sully the character. That's the worst thing that we could possibly do. So unless we find something in the future that really lands, there's no point in rushing it. There's no point in keeping developing for development's sake and doing something that I don't want to do."
