Karol G is a Playboy cover girl!

PEOPLE can exclusively reveal that the Colombian star will grace the cover of Playboy magazine's spring issue ahead of her headlining performance at Coachella.

In the interview, the "Bichota" singer, 35, opens up about how her fellow Colombian star Sofía Vergara helped her step outside of her comfort zone for the cover.

"The only person I asked if I should do it or not was Sofía Vergara," she told the outlet. "I called her and told her, 'If you tell me not to do it, I won't.'"

In response, the Modern Family actress said, "'Mijita, with that body? When you get to this age, you tell yourself, 'F---, why didn't I pose that one time? I should have posed more with a thong!'"

Karol previously worked alongside Vergara, 53, on the Netflix show Griselda, which was centered around the story of Colombian businesswoman Griselda Blanco.

Elsewhere in the interview, the "Latina Forever" singer also opened up about her upcoming headlining performance at Coachella, which marks a historic first for the popular festival.

“When I received the call, I felt like a huge weight fell on me. They called me and told me — in Spanish — that I was going to be the first Latina to close the festival," she said. "I feel like it's a show for my community, for the world, but it’s a show that’s very much for me."

Though this will mark her first headlining performance at Coachella, Karol made her festival debut in 2022 and paid tribute to her Colombian roots with a special medley. She also brought out longtime friend J Balvin for a performance of his smash hit "Mi Gente."

The "Provenza" singer's performance at Coachella will follow the release of her fifth studio album Tropicoqueta, which came out in June 2025 and symbolized a reclaiming of herself.

In 2024, Karol opened up to PEOPLE about the ending of her Mañana Será Bonito era, which earned her a Grammy for Best Música Urbana Album.

"I'm full of emotions. I can't believe that something this big came off one of the hardest moments of my life," she said. "I was just doing music, trying to heal my heart."
