What Exactly Is The Pizza Cupcake?
The Pizza Cupcake started in the tiny New York City kitchen of chef Andrea Meggiato and his wife Michelle-Jimenez-Meggiato in 2018. Reminiscent of popular freezer favorites like pizza bagels, pizza rolls and other miniature pizza creations, Pizza Cupcakes serve as a fluffy, flavorful alternative made with fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce and a proprietary dough of flaky brioche and savory sourdough. Quite literally, they are mini Sourdough brioche cupcakes filled with delicious pizza flavors designed to stay fresh and crispy until they reach your dinner table.
What Happened After Shark Tank?
The Pizza Cupcake quickly built up its brand thanks to Andrea’s extensive pizza-making background and Michelle’s experience in marketing. After only two years of selling their product via nationwide shipping and at two New York City outdoor markets, the couple eventually found themselves pitching their product on Shark Tank in 2021. Through tense negotiations, where Andrea stood quietly while his wife ran point with the Sharks, The Pizza Cupcake eventually scored a legendary $125,000 investment in exchange for 12.5 percent equity, plus 2.5 percent in advisory shares.
From there, the business was booming. Just 10 months after their appearance on Shark Tank, The Pizza Cupcake was being sold in grocery stores around the country, and celebrities started taking notice. They would eventually collaborate with Chrissy Teigen on a Margherita cupcake, effectively boosting their product and landing them in over 1,600 Walmart stores nationwide by September 2022.
Drew Barrymore raved about them on The Drew Barrymore Show, Dave Portnoy reviewed them in a viral “One Bite” video and the cupcakes even appeared at events like Coachella and various New York Mets games. And after adding a new 4-Cheese flavor to the lineup, The Pizza Cupcake made its way into Whole Foods, continuing its rapid rise in popularity.

Anything New from The Pizza Cupcake?
Roughly 5 years later, you might be wondering what’s next for the popular freezer snack. The company has been mostly quiet on socials, with only a handful of semi-recent posts hinting at a rebrand. One Reel shared by the couple, explains what they’ve been up to and what's to come in the future:“Seeing the excitement inspired us to dream bigger,” Michelle says in the video. “We thought, why stop at pizza? Over the past two years we’ve been testing new flavors to accompany our chef-crafted dough. And with new fillings, we need a new name—something more expansive to represent our growing family.”
“We’re so excited to share that we're rebranding and expanding under the name ‘Incredifulls,’” Michelle continues. “Incredifulls isn't just a new name, it's a bigger dream fueled by all of you. We can’t wait to introduce our next flavor soon. Thank you for being part of our story, and get ready—this is just the beginning.”
As for the new flavor, a peek at the Incredifulls Instagram shows a cutesy reveal of exactly what fans have been waiting for: Egg & Cheese Everything Seasoning Breakfast Cups, available now at Target for just $5.99.
