Anna Faris is reflecting on appearing in Friends' final season.

The Scary Movie 6 actor says she felt unsure about joining the cast's "sentimental group hugs."

Faris played Erica, a pregnant woman who gives birth to twins, whom Chandler (Matthew Perry) and Monica (Courteney Cox) adopt.

Anna Faris recalls feeling a little awkward about "being there" for the Friendscast.

Speaking with Variety, the Scary Movie 6star recalled appearing on the iconic sitcom, appearing in four episodes during its final season in 2004. Faris played Erica, a pregnant woman who gives birth to twins, whom Chandler (Matthew Perry) and Monica (Courteney Cox) adopt after Monica struggles to conceive naturally.

Faris recalled feeling awkward about being asked to join in on the cast's "sentimental group hugs."

"We would [have] finished rehearsal and standing on the floor and I would be the only person that would be about about two feet away from their group hug," Faris told the outlet. "They would be like, 'Come on, come on,' which also felt inappropriate."

Faris said while it initially felt "wrong" to join in on a hug with the beloved cast during the final episodes of what had been an incredibly successful run on television, she also knew how "special" it was to be included.

The Overboard actress added how significant it felt to shoot in front of a live audience who "really knew what it meant to get to witness the end of this incredible show."

Faris revealed in a 2024 interview with PEOPLE how Perry had actually suggested her for the role after seeing her in Lost in Translation.

"That was my understanding at the time. He told me that he'd seen me in Lost in Translation and he thought I was good," Faris said. "I worked mostly with Courteney and Matthew, and they were unbelievable to me. They were so kind. I mean, it was such an intimidating idea. I mean, to give birth on Friends. Friends? The final season?"

Perry died in October 2023 at age 54.

Faris shared how it had been "an honor" to work with Perry, who she described as "an incredible person," while adding that the rest of the cast — which included Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc, were "really kind."
