Andy Murray may be two years removed from his playing days, but he's caught the attention of former competitor Andy Roddick with his impressive physical condition.
The 39-year-old, who has previously revealed his biggest regret, retired from tennis following the 2024 Olympics, yet has evidently maintained his fitness. Murray appeared alongside Roddick during a live recording of the American icon's 'Served' YouTube show at the Laver Cup in London, where his altered appearance became a talking point. "I'm really excited about our next guest, he's someone I have an outsized amount of respect for," Roddick began before welcoming Murray on stage.
Following their embrace and exchange of laughs, the former ATP No. 1 added: "He came in there, and I said, 'You're the first person who ever retires and loses weight.'"

Yet when asked about his activities since stepping away from professional tennis, the Scot kept things simple.
"A lot of golf, a lot of childcare," he said. "This morning, my daughter was doing cricket trials, so I left that a little bit early to come here. Just being a dad, basically, I don't do a whole lot more than that."
Murray added: "I do a little bit of coaching with Jack Draper as well. He's obviously been injured, and he's not playing for the next three or four months, so we'll see how that goes, but that's about it, really."

The Scot also spent time mentoring Novak Djokovic after retirement, though he's been adamant his competitive playing career is finished. "I picked up a racket just for fun once in Australia when I was helping Novak," he told The Times.
"I hit with one of my friends on [Rod Laver Arena] about 20 months ago, and I hadn't hit since when I stopped up until that point, so that's the only time. I just have no desire to hit tennis balls anymore. I did that for 25 years."
Remarkably, shedding pounds proved effortless for Murray after walking away from the sport he devoted his life to. Back in September 2024, he revealed he had dropped 11 pounds in the weeks following his farewell match in Paris.
"I haven't been to the gym for five weeks," he remarked, after his noticeably slimmer frame turned heads ahead of a pro-am event at golf's BMW Championship. "I said to my wife, I was like, 'Look, I'm going to make sure when I stop, I'm going to make sure I stay in good shape.'
"And she said, 'Oh, if you're just going to go and play golf, I don't want that.' I was, 'No, no, I'll get myself in the gym, make sure I stay in shape.'
"I went to the gym three of the first four days after I stopped, worked really hard, and then went up to Scotland for a couple of days for a holiday, and haven't been back since. It's been five weeks I've not been in the gym, longest ever for me probably.
"I don't know if it's like appetite, if I'm not eating as much, but we obviously have... loads of the sport drinks have got lot of calories in them, and I only really drink water and coffee now.
"So I don't know, I think just less calories and probably loss of muscle. I've lost about 11, 12 pounds. It's a lot. I was expecting the opposite to happen."
